Our music policy
Our music policy is
pretty schizophrenic to say the least. Our philosophy at BITE is that nothing
is outside our musical boundaries.
We all come from an ‘indie’ background, but
our club is solely about good music, so wherever it comes from, we’re open to falling in love with it. We don’t
play any records we don’t personally feel a huge passion for. Therefore, if you’re
offended by the idea that you could hear Madonna and Squarepusher in the same
night, it’s probably not for you.
We don’t subscribe to the idea of going to a
club to stand around and be ‘seen’ either, everyone who comes ends up dancing
till they sweat their hair flat. We shun sponsorship, and we shun this bizarre indie
VIP culture that seems to have reared its ugly head.
Whoever comes to our club
will be treated like everyone else, because we are ONLY about the music.
To sum up: Bite plays good music.
That is really all you need to know.
If you really want genres, we play mainly electro and indie, but with fairly hefty chunks of disco, dubstep, hiphop and whatever pop music we reckon is ok that week!
To be honest it'd be easier to list the things we don't play. 1. The Doors. 2. Anything else we consider rubbish.
